mwbamwbqHypsacantha crucimaculata (mwbgDahl, 1914) è un mwbwragno appartenente alla mwcafamiglia mwcqAraneidae.

È l'unica mwcwspecie nota del genere mwdamwdqHypsacantha.

Etimologia

Il nome deriva dal mweqgreco mwegmwewὒψος, mwfahypsos, cioè mwfqcima, sommità e mwfgmwfwᾶκανθα, mwgaàkantha, cioè mwgqspina, per la posizione della spina sull'mwggopistosoma.

Distribuzione

La specie è stata rinvenuta in mwhqAfrica centrale, mwhgorientale e mwhwmeridionalecite-ref-araneidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

Rimosso dalla sinonimia con mwjgmwjwGasteracantha mwkaSundevall, 1833, a seguito di due lavori dell'aracnologo Emerit del 1973 e del 1974cite-ref-araneidae-1-1[1].

Dal 1973 non sono stati esaminati altri esemplari, né sono state descritte mwlwsottospecie al 2014cite-ref-araneidae-1-2[1].
